Our school has for the past number of years built a relationship with older members of our community living in the local nursing homes. We visit before Christmas every year and sing carols and chat to the residents. The children really look forward to this event.
Christmas Visits to Local Nursing Homes
Since Christmas 2009, the children in Kiltiernan school have visited the local nursing homes with a selection of Christmas Carols and Hymns to entertain the residents.Our school has been welcomed warmly by staff and residents and it is a privilege to meet the older members of our community.
