2nd Class Communion May 2026

2nd Class made our Third Sacrament, our Holy Communion on the 9th of May, 2026. We had practised so much for this special day, and when the morning finally arrived, we looked so smart in elegant dresses and snazzy suits!

We all had two jobs each. Some people read prayers, some brought up gifts and we all did the actions for Our Father on the altar.

Later, we went over to the local parish hall for a delicious party which the 1st Class Parents had organised.

After that, we all celebrated with our families. We all wrote about what Communion means to me and we have shown some samples of these below.

The only bad thing about the whole day is that we cannot make it again next year!!Roll on Confirmation!

What Communion Means to Me

Making my Communion means I will receive the third sacrament.

In the morning, I will get up at 8:30am because I will be so excited! Then I will go to my hair appointment in Craughwell.

After that, I will do my make-up and put on my dress.

I will have butterflies in my stomach in the church!  I am excited to do my prayer!

Later, I will go to Labane Hall and then go home and have another party.

What Communion Means to Me

Communion means that I receive the Holy Bread for the first time.

In the morning I`ll get dressed in my amazing suit and get in the car and go to the church. At the church I`ll go to my seat. I`m very excited to sing! My sister and brother also sang so it is a family tradition!

When I sing, I will be excited and nervous at the time. After I sing, I will feel refreshed.

After mass, we’ll go to the Communion class party. Then, later my family home will go to a hotel to celebrate together.

What Communion Means to me

Making my Communion shows that I love God.

In the morning, I will need to get up early to get my hair done.

I am scared about going to church and nervous about when I am bringing up the gifts. I’m sure I will have butterflies in my stomach!

After Communion, my family and I will go to our class party in Labane Hall.

Later, we will be going home to have a party and play on the bouncy castle!
