We achieved our first Discover Primary Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence in 2019. A plaque of STEM Excellence is the highest award that a school can achieve and recognizes Kiltiernan N.S. for deeper engagement, whole school involvement and external engagement in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. We are proud of all our pupils’ hard work and success last year. We now include the areas of STEM as an addition to the curriculum that we teach here in Kiltiernan. It teaches the children important skills for later life and they enjoy the active learning involved.
