Hammerhead Sharks
Hammerhead sharks have big scary heads,
They see yummy stingrays lying on sandy seabeds!
These sharks can be up to 20 feet long,
Tropical, warm waters are where they belong!
Their serrated sharp teeth tear prey into shreds,
Eating stingrays,shrimp and sharks
Until they are well fed!
Hammerheads can live up to 35 years old,
As long as the water is warm and not cold!
Hammerheads shed can see behind them,
So if you go shark fishing, make sure you’re in a pen!

Hammerhead Shark Research
1st and 2nd Class learned all about Hammerhead Sharks during SSE class. We found out that they can see behind them because they have 360 degree vision! How cool is that!!
Their wide heads are packed with electric sensors which act as radars, so they can sense their prey, even when they are hiding deep in the sea beds!
We were inspired to write a poem about them, and then we used Chrome Books to type our work.
Later, we illustrated our poems by drawing these cool poems. We loved doing the research!
