PARENTS’ COUNCIL – A Brief History
Kiltiernan National School’s Parents’ Council was formed in 2004. It consists of six elected parent members. We are affiliated to the National Parents’ Council of Ireland.
The aim of this group is to provide assistance and support to the teachers and the school’s Board of Management. Meetings are held monthly.
In the past, the Parents’ Council have assisted in organising school trips, Easter Egg Hunts, St Patrick’s Day Parade/Float, school celebrations – graduation Ceremonies, Green Flag presentation day, school concerts and fundraising.
Congratulations to our newest Parents’ Council elected in April 2017. We wish them the best of luck for the next 2 years!
