Our Visit to Thoor Ballylee

On the 7^th of May, 2015 the senior room went to thoor Ballylee for a poetry workshop. Thoor Ballylee used to be owned by the famous poet W.B. Yeats. He used thoor Ballylee as a summer house for him and his family. He wrote on a plaque that he restored the Norman Tower for his wife George. Currently the tower has an extension which looks like a cottage. It is painted white and has green door, windows and shutters. The tower is beside the Streamstown River and is surrounded by woodland.
